he annual Kichirei Kaomise Kabuki performances will be held at Minamiza Theatre in Kyoto’s Shijo-Kawabata area from Sunday, December 1 to Sunday, December 22.
The season opened today to lively crowds. Performances are divided into matinee and evening programs: the matinee begins with Madama Butterfly, while the evening features a spectacular selection of Kabuki plays, including the traditional favorite Genroku Chushingura.
