The magical scene woven by the night cherry blossoms and the glowing bonfires (kagaribi) illuminating the dark sky—it is a fleeting moment of beauty that everyone eagerly anticipates.

While the actual cherry blossoms outside remain tightly in bud, quietly awaiting their time to bloom,
the traditional tatami rooms at Kyoto Gion Tempura Endo currently feature a special hanging scroll depicting that beautiful “moment of full bloom.”

The artwork is titled “Kagaribi Shunsho” (Bonfires on a Spring Evening).
